Authorized September 2012, Bdote Learning Center is a Dakota and Ojibwe Language Immersion School.
We opened in August 2014, serving 100 students in grades K-3, and add a grade every year. We will eventually serve students in grades K-8. The mission of the Bdote Learning Center is to develop culturally aware, successful, high performing students by providing them with an academically rigorous education that is placed based and rooted in the language and cultures of indigenous peoples. Our vision is that all students will develop a love of lifelong learning; language and cultural fluency; skills and education to determine their own future; and commitment to give back to family, community, and country.
